FACT

Perhaps more depending upon a number a variants. (Which include but are not limited to: Personal Hygiene, Stress, Sleep Patterns, Skin Type, Home / Work Environments, Hormonal Changes, and Personal Growth Cycles).
MYTH
You have to wait 24 hours before you get your lash extensions wet.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO WAIT 24 HOURS TO GET YOUR LASH EXTENSIONS WET.
Pink Tiger Society proudly uses Professional Products which do not present the need to wait any amount of time after receiving Lash Extensions to shower or wet your extensions)
FACT
Lash fills are typically scheduled every 1-3 weeks.
In order to be considered a "fill" client you must maintain at least 40% of your lash set. Less than 40% of remaining lashes will result in the price of a full set.
MYTH
You can use baby shampoo to wash your lashes.
PLEASE NEVER WASH YOUR EXTENSIONS WITH ANYTHING OTHER THAN LASH SHAMPOO PROVIDED TO YOU AT THE TIME OF YOUR LASH SESSION OR UPON APPROVAL FROM YOUR LASH ARTIST!
FACT
You should wash (with shampoo brush), rinse, pat dry, brush and fan dry your lashes at least once a day to maintain open fans & healthy lash lines.
Skipping any of theses steps could lead to poor retention rates, styes, blepharitis, or conjunctivitis or other serious eye infections. We highly recommend purchasing a Lash Care Kit before you leave the salon.
MYTH
Lash Extensions damage your natural lashes.
Truthfully, this is the most offensive of all the myths surrounding Lash Extensions and Lash Extension culture. Properly trained Lash Professionals DO NOT cause damage to Natural Lashes during Lash Extension procedures.
FACT
You should discontinue the use of mascara a few days prior to your lash appointment and should fully discontinue mascara use after you have been lashed or until your lash extensions are removed.
Mascara can cause build up of oil and debris on Lash Extensions and even damage the bond of glue used to hold your Extensions in place.
MYTH
You can't get lash extensions if you wear contacts.
Although it is true you should be prepared to wear your glasses before your Lash appointment this is just a precautionary measure taken to prevent a possible chemical reaction with Lash adhesives. You are free to return to contacts as soon as we are finished with the service
FACT
Lashing takes TIME!
Please be prepared to stay a while for a wonderful lash nap where you will wake up feeling divine. I will provide blankets and pillows but it's best if you provide your own entertainment. Spotify, Youtube, Podcasts, Binaural Beats, what ever keeps your peace and happiness.
MYTH
You don't have to rinse your lash shampoo.
Yes you absolutely do if you want to maintain your retention.
FACT
You should avoid caffeine for a minimum of 3-5 hours prior to your lash appointment.
The slightest movements cause great duress when you're aiming for "micro targets".

FACT
Lash Extensions last 6 weeks+++
LASH EXTENSIONS ARE A TEMPORARY SERVICE THAT
REQUIRE REGULAR MAINTENANCE!
2-3 week fills are suggested due to the length of a healthy natural lash cycle. (Thats right! Your body shed's and regenerate at their own rate much like skin cells! This process typically takes 6-8 weeks to complete).
Lash After-Care
It is imperative to wash your Lash Extensions between service appointments. You should aim to wash your Lashes properly at least once a day with careful attention and gentle strokes. Prioritizing: Wash Routines around sweating, crying, and swimming.

FAQ(s)
Lashes are still a rather new & revolutionary service in the Beauty Industry. There are countless types, textures, curls, and styles. It can easily become overwhelming!
Let's go over a frequently asked questions together to help ease your mind about this extremely technical cosmetic service.

What are light cure lash extensions?
Light cure lash extensions are applied using a professional adhesive that hardens instantly when activated by a controlled light source. This allows the lashes to bond immediately instead of relying on air or humidity to cure.

Why is light cure technology being used for lashes?
Light cure technology allows for greater control during application. Because the adhesive cures on demand, it reduces prolonged exposure to uncured adhesive and environmental variables, helping create more consistent results when applied by a trained professional.

Does light cure lash adhesive reduce fumes?
Because the adhesive cures instantly when activated, exposure time to adhesive fumes may be reduced compared to traditional air-cured methods. This is one reason light cure systems are appealing to both clients and professionals.

Is the light used near my eyes safe?
Yes—when used properly by a trained professional. Light cure systems are designed to operate within controlled safety parameters. Your lash artist follows specific protocols for timing, distance, and shielding to protect the eye area throughout the service. Further more Opal (The only light cure system used at PTS) underwent testing by an independent, third-party laboratory to ensure compliance with IEC 62741 standards for photo-biological safety. It was determined to be exempt from UV radiation and photo-biological damage.
